- Alright,
after fixing lots of variables, then mulling over an if statement that had nothing wrong with it for several hours, and bugging people about it, and getting a head ache, then realizing that there had to be nothing wrong with it, then finding that i forgot one of the variables at the very beginning of the process, I believe i have fixed the movie database...
I know I am mostly the only one that uses it, but now you all can too if you want... ;p~ and if it does strange stuff, please let me know about it! (go there)
- I just updated and tested teh contact form, so it works now. Not that it matters much, but sometimes people do use this to contact me. (go there)
- Finally, after 2+ months of not having the gallery stuff, I finished migrating from the old gallery to the new gallery. Will soon hopefully start puting some more pictures into it.

- Okay, I've got at least the immediate stuff fixed, like the login and variable stuffs. Thanx to Jeremy for helping me locate the main issues and helping me figure out how to fix them.
Things i need to complete include: finish getting the Gallery moved over to new server, updating the code for Memeber's Area, copying cgi/scripts over (apparently i forgot those), and locating and fixing dead URL/links.
For now the Cool Pics (gallery), although you can view it, there's not much there at this point until I finish moving everything over, which now is not easy cause I slacked off and now the old isp connection apparently is dead. (go there)

- Apparently my contact form was not working correctly for an unknown amount of time, due to some DNS issue I think (I still think it's messed up) but the form is working now after Jeremy helped me fix it, as I am recieving emails from the contact form since Friday afternoon. - Alright, after much self-debate I have put up a temp (probably long-term) gallery page.. right now, the gallery effectively does not work w/ my own login stuff because it is a completely different open-source project script that is not easily compatable (as far as I can tell) with my own login stuff.. that's because I didn't write it, other people did.. my goal is to have it embedded into my own site more effectively so that ppl can upload their own galleries if they want to.. but for now, only my own pictures are there.. Added a test gallery "Video Shelves" to the Cool Pics gallery.. (go there)

- In what may be the last update of the year, I have finished the admin area of TMDB, and so I have also enabled the Admin Area link once again. Please feel free to add your own movie database, those of you who have joined the idrainu.com membership... Now to work on the search for those of you who only want to see the videos already in the database! (go there)
- Added a list of videos I don't already own, which is pretty easy.. but this list is actually videos I want to own, which narrows the list down quite a bit... however, it is mostly filled with Anime right now.. (go there)
- The odds of me getting the movie db done before I go on vacation are looking kinda' bleak! (I leave in about 4 days now..) However, I am constantly working on fixing the search page and stuff.. the admin interface is pretty much finished, I'm just working out the layout of the main page to display the movies after they are added to the database.. :p~ (go there)
- Fixed the new user "join" script so that username has to be at least 6 and no more than 18 alphanumeric characters (english numbers and letters), just like the password change already was. (go there)
- Changed some more layout stuffs, hardly noticable, i think.. Fixed some more css issues with the menu. Changed how the login table looks, both before and after you login. I've noticed that my menu is now longer than my screen in 800x600.. this is not cool, since the whole setup I had was to eliminate scrolling of the main page.. However, it looks like I may have to change my layout again to where the whole page scrolls.. I like having the menu always show, which is why I have it that way now.. dunno.. (go there)
- Fixed several issues with tmdb admin tool, and added some more stuff to it. It appears to work now, but I need to finish cleaning up the main tmdb page before I open it back up. (go there)
- A few ppl have let me know they prefer visions to open in a new window, and I think I like it better that way as well, so I fixed the first 9 visions to open in a new window, just like the rest. (go there)

- after screwing with it all weekend, finally made it so you can change your login information (username/password).. (go there)

- set the option for members to have their database stuff (like movies, and eventually photos and stuff) to be public or private, and to have their own membership info (name, email addy, etc.) to be public or private.. both are default to private (go there)
- fixed the movie admin script, so now users will only be able to edit/add their own movies.. eventually, i'll make it so the movies page actually lists different user's lists (if there are different users), instead of just my own list... (go there)
- put up some test menu's for pplz to check outz.. i know the images need cleaned up, but it's only temporary (i'll clean them up later).. finally, i've fixed the stupid font size in my style-sheet.. i imagine most ppl didn't know that msie was blowing my text up larger than it was supposed to be.. now it should be the same in both browsers.. changed the background image.. - man.. it's taken me hours of work, but i've finally figured out a way to have the login password encrypted (even I cannot see the actual password once it has been set).. it is also virtually impossible, and ultimately improbable, that it could be decrypted. that also means it is unretrievable.. once it is set, it can only be changed, not retrieved. what this ultimately means is I cannot login as another user unless they give me their password (and vice versa).. - I didn't do this today, but i forgot to mention that i have started to seperate the tv/ova series from the movies.. it's already sort of that way, but i'm going to make it better.. well, i think so anyway.. (go there)
- now there's a login link in the menu.. unless you are tommy and know the login info, it will not work for you.. contemplating having a guest testing login, but it works fine for me for now.. hehehe.. soon to come? ability to create a login, and some stuff to do afterwards.. more admin options.. stuff you can't see yet... - Tom's Movie Database (version 2.0) is now up, with the all new searchable interface! Now, a lot of behind-the-scenes script-work (no puns intended) went into this.. - finally finished making the movie databse work the way i want it to! didn't know I had a movie database? i do.. (check out my webpage!).. I have the ability to search and stuff, just haven't made any cool links or anything, so all you get is a full alphabetical listing.. (go there)
- finally fixed title for dynamic content.. now loads a title for the page you are visiting.. (go there)
- okay, combined the freewriting page once again, now that i'm getting some content filler.. :p~ now poems, stories and misc are all same page.. (go there)
- movies is now open, with link in menu... i have my own interface for quick adding/editing of movies to list.. later in version 2.0 will have cool searches and stuff for quicker reference and better stuff.. stuff.. (go there)
- war for king lear, task for twindle, poems 01-06, and visions 01-09 now open in main page instead of new window.. (go there)
- did some more html compliance/validation stuffs.. (go there)
- um.. i started creating a movie database sometime last week.. anyway, made some updates to it today but still not going "live" with it until i can figure out how to add/edit from web interface without having to use the mysql interface directly.. (go there)
- i've started screwing around with the stylesheets so that certain pages (such as individual stories or poems) don't have to open in new windows, since no one has told me what they think about pages such as stories opening in new windows.. (no "i like it" or "i hate it" or "i don't care")... :p~
i think font size should load better now for ppl with large scren sizes (greater than 1024x768).. will test this on my linux box when i get the chance, since that is where i noticed the font was tiny..
also worked on updating the validation for my pages.. got most of 'em I think.. (go there)

- Fixed timestamps by using php and removing the javascript for it.. (don't know if anyone noticed, but they were showing current time/date instead of file's real last modified time/date). Created a history log type page (ch-ch-Changes) for reference, and now the time-stamp is for that page.. i decided i kinda like having a quick reference to look at.. will put a link eventually.. - Changed layout (again), with php and dynamic content. please let me know if you find broken links.. i made the code so that if someone tries to follow links (that i've fixed) and the page doesn't exist than it goes home instead (such as the non-existant Privacy policy), seems to work for any bad "internal" (php) link.. Also changed "theme" / "skin" / "whateveryouwannacallit" with new background and text colour, i think it's easier to read now? I re-sampled & re-sized the menu images so they are cooler/smaller/easier to read(?).. i've started to just eliminate the now buggy js (javascript) back buttons by splitting the sections into seperate pages and removing the js back links... - Made the pics in boredom_consumed open up in new small window, with the picture only instead of taking over same window (i stole some javascript for this). (go there)
- the main freewrite page became obsolete so i removed it.. there are now seperate visions/stories/poems pages instead. also, poems, stories and visions all open in a new closable window.. did i just make up a word? ya'll let me know if you like them better opening in new windows or if you think i should figure out a good way to make it go back to the main window.. - I think it is safe to say this website has made my old ualr site obsolete, and so I removed the link from the home page. It is still listed on my PressKit page.. (go there)

- out of a fit of boredom, i changed the main site up a bit.. reverted the background image back to orignal format, then faded it.. made menu, banner and tables transparent with text overlap.. plan to make it look better when scrolling in moz/ns, but works for now.. also changed banner images to text instead.. i figure, less images to load (loads much quicker now).. may do that for menu and other "text" buttons/imags.. we'll see..
